About the Activity

This edition of Trans Joy centers on clothing, creativity, and self-expression. Together with Imke, we will discover how to use clothing to show who we are and what makes us feel good.

During this creative afternoon, we will upcycle clothes using lino, bleach, and other creative materials. Whether you want to make a subtle adjustment or completely transform your garment, anything is possible! Bring a piece of clothing and give it a personal touch that suits you.

Besides the creative part, there will be space to share experiences and discuss gender, self-expression, and the role clothing plays in how we present ourselves. No experience with creative techniques is necessary. You just need to be willing to try something new and express yourself in your own way.

Who is it for?

Trans Joy is for trans and non-binary people, as well as for those who are exploring their gender identity or self-expression, are questioning, or are curious. Allies who feel connected to the trans and non-binary community are also welcome. Whether you know exactly who you are or are still searching, you don't have to prove or explain anything. You are welcome as you are! You may also bring a friend, family member, or another trusted person.

Please bring a piece of clothing you would like to upcycle and join in the fun!
